High speed drillingThe Avenger drill line has one drill spindle powered by a 10 kW motor. A drill with internal cooling, provided it is resharpened, can drill more than 30,000 holes.
Breakthrough detection for faster drillingDeveloped by Peddinghaus engineers, this technology detects immediately when the drill breaks through the material. The machine is informed that the hole is complete and moves straight to the next drilling position. Breakthrough detection ensures that more time is spent actually drilling material.
Measurement by the drill unitThe Avenger drill line offers a unique measuring system for maximum accuracy. On this machine the drill unit moves to the processing position, so there is no need to move the material to the processing unit by crane. The distance travelled by the drill unit is recorded by precision encoders, guaranteeing perfect parts.
Sturdy clamping to eliminate vibrationPrecise workpiece clamping is crucial for tool life and profitability. Perfect clamping with optimum support from the work table and maximum surface contact ensures the material is held securely throughout processing.
