Ocean Liberator
Beam coping machine

The ideal coping machine for small to medium-sized shops
The Ocean Liberator was designed specifically to eliminate time-consuming and costly manual coping. It is ideal for small to medium-sized steel fabrication shops that produce standard copes, flange thins, web penetrations and other common coping shapes.
Highlights

Oxy-fuel cutting close to the flangeThe functions of the Liberator thermal cutting and coping machine include mitre cutting and weld preparation bevelling on the top and bottom flanges. The machine features an automatic torch ignition system. The time-consuming torch probing routines common on robotic coping machines are eliminated. The Liberator can cut particularly close to the inside of the beam flange.

Multi-axis mitre cuttingMulti-axis positioning produces perfectly cut beam flanges. For weld preparation of the flanges, the torch swivels into the programmed position.

Laser measuring and sizingOnce the operator has brought the beam into the work zone and the material clamps have secured it, the beam zero reference device projects a laser line that allows the operator to move the torch into position manually. After this initial measurement the beam is processed smoothly.

Raptor 3D CAD/CAM SoftwareDeveloped by Peddinghaus, Raptor 3D CAD/CAM Software takes CNC innovation further by enabling users to program faster and more accurately. Inspect, modify and export part information directly within the 3D platform. This coupled with Peddinghaus CNC technology means maximum capacity for fabricators.
